The Bahamas AIDS Foundation hosted its ‘Healthier We’ Workshop on the island of Bimini this past weekend. The workshop consists of sessions on an overview of HIV/AIDS (AIDS 101), medication adherence, healthy living, and the psychosocial. Facilitators we’re Dr. Carlyne Smith-McKenzie, Board Member and Education Committee Chair and Ms. Tracey Rahming, Social Worker.
Youth enjoyed a book reading “Come Sit By Me” and were engaged in a discussion about HIV/AIDS, good touch and bad touch, and the stages of development.
