WHAT IS SPONSORSHIP?
Sponsorship is a gift of support from you to a child/adolescent in the Outreach Programme for Adolescents Infected and Affected by HIV and AIDS. The Outreach Programme has three components:
- Academic: Afterschool Programme, five days/wk, tutors, computer access, preparation for BJC’s, BGCSE’s and Tertiary level education.
- Psychosocial: Life skills, job preparation, hot meal five days/wk, counselling, character development, food and clothing bank.
- Medical: Medicine adherence, health and well-being and clinic visits.
HOW MONEY IS USED?
Sponsorship of a child provides a hot meal, a safe space and access to tutors and counseling five days/wk, assistance with school uniform/shoes/equipment, examination fees, housing, job preparation and special projects.
