Students from The University of The Bahamas’ Rotaract Club and Student Government are shown collecting their red ribbons to participate in The Bahamas AIDS Foundations’ Fun Run Walk Cycle campaign.
Have you wondered what the red ribbons on trees around town signify? Participants in the campaign, which ran from November 29th to December 15th 2020, showed their support for HIV/AIDS by tying red ribbons on trees along several routes, Arawak Cay to Westridge, Eastern Parade to Montague Beach, Carmichael Primary School to Gladstone Road and Blue Hill Road from Bay Street to South Beach. The enthusiastic students also donated 20 boxes of clothes.
